A hacker group got into security cameres, and has released images of prison guards beating prisoners in Evin Prison in Tehran, the capital of Iran. The group called Ali’s Justice stated that the images were a disgrace to Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, and that they hacked security cameras in order to get the political prisoners released. After the images spread rapidly on social media and new sites, Evin Prison Director Muhammad Mehdi published an apology message on his social media account.

UNRWA spokesperson Adnan Abu Hasna said around 30,000 students have resumed classes in agency-run schools, while most public schools remain closed. Before the war, 300,000 children attended Gaza’s public schools.
According to the Palestinian Education Ministry, 674,000 students were deprived of schooling since October 2023, with 17,175 students and 928 teachers killed, and hundreds of schools destroyed or damaged.
