A massive fire at a private hospital in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur, India, killed at least eight people. Massive plumes of smoke billowed from the building, according to footage from the scene. The fire killed five patients and three hospital employees. More than a dozen people have been injured.
The fire appears to have been started by a short circuit, police said.
Student-led protesters in Serbia have blockaded state broadcasters RTS and RTV, demanding management overhaul or complete shutdown due to alleged biased reporting. Tents were set up outside buildings in Belgrade and Novi Sad, blocking entry and disrupting broadcasts. RTS called the blockade illegal, while RTV’s head labeled it “terrorism.”
The protests follow a deadly building collapse in Novi Sad that killed 15 people in November 2024. Despite government reshuffles and resignations, demonstrations persist. President Aleksandar Vucic dismissed the unrest as a failed “color revolution.”
