India’s Chandrayaan-3 unmanned spacecraft has completed its 1,000-kilometer journey and landed on the Moon’s little-explored south pole. With this landing, India became the fourth country to achieve a “soft landing” on the Moon, and the first to land on the Moon’s little-explored south pole.
Developed by the Indian Space Research Authority ISRO and consisting of a descent module, thrust module and probe, Chandrayaan-3′ will conduct some experiments to learn more about the Moon.
