India pharmaceutical plant fire kills 6

A fire broke out at a pharmaceutical plant in the state of Andhra Pradesh in southern India. Police and medical team were dispatched to the scene. At least 6 workers working on the night shift were killed and 13 workers were injured. The fire started as a result of the leakage of nitric acid into the chemical reactor and then the explosion occurred, authorities said. It was reported that 13 workers who were taken to the hospital had serious burns on their bodies and their health conditions were critical.
