Heavy rains in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh led to floods and landslides. A landslide broke down a historical temple in Shimla, causing 9 to die and dozens to go missing under the rubble. Search teams estimate that there are 20–25 people under the rubble, said the state prime minister. The minister also urged residents to stay at home.
A total of 21 people died in the events that occurred in the last 24 hours as a result of heavy rains.
