Heavy rainfall and flooding caused landslides in Jayapura, the capital of Indonesia’s Papua province. Six people were killed in the landslide caused by the flood in the region and 500 people were evacuated from the region, National Disaster Agency Administration (BNPB) reported. Authorities announced that the flooding in the city of Jayapura has subsided, but it is still raining and power outage is ongoing in the reigon.
