Indonesia’s Semeru Volcano erupted again

Semeru Volcano that located in Indonesia’s East Java province and has altitude of 3.676 meters erupted again on Sunday. The Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG) stated that an eruption occurred at the volcano in morning hours and the volcano spewed ash and smoke 2 kilometers high. PVMBG urged residents to not approach within a 5 kilometer radius of the volcano and to stay within 500 meters of riverbanks due to the risk of lava flow.

On the other hand, the alarm level had raised to the 2th highest level after an activity detected in Semeru Volcano in Indonesia yesterday. As a result of the eruption at Semeru Volcano on December 4, at least 46 people had lost their lives and thousands of people had left homeless.
