Injured Bear Rescued and Treated in Türkiye

A bear injured in a car accident on the Bursa-Uludağ road has been rescued and sent to the Bear Sanctuary in Karacabey. After a night-long search, rescue teams found and immobilized the bear, which had multiple hip fractures, and transported it to Uludağ University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Following a 3-day treatment and surgery, the bear will undergo a month-long recovery at the Karacabey Ovakorusu Celal Acar Wild Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Center before potential release back into the wild.
