Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian condemned Israel over its actions in Gaza, accusing it of genocide against over 14,000 women and children. “While innocent civilians are being massacred, the world remains silent, except for a few diplomatic words,” he said during a meeting with foreign diplomats in Tehran on the 46th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
Pezeshkian also rejected claims that Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons, stating, “We are not after nuclear weapons. War is not in our interest, and nuclear weapons have no place in Iran’s policies.” He emphasized that Iran’s nuclear facilities remain open to inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
