A large commemoration ceremony was held in Tehran for former Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and his successor Hashim Safiyuddin, who were killed in Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Revolutionary Guard Commander Hossein Salami attended the event, where participants waved Hezbollah, Lebanese, and Palestinian flags while chanting anti-Israel and anti-US slogans.
Speaking at the ceremony, Salami claimed Israel had suffered a “clear defeat” against resistance forces, referencing recent conflicts and a prisoner exchange. He emphasized Iran’s continued support for resistance movements, warning adversaries to “correctly calculate Iran’s true power.”
