Iran Says Protests Under Control

Abbas Araghchi said Iran has the nationwide protests “fully under control,” speaking to foreign ambassadors in Tehran. He claimed the unrest was made violent to provoke foreign intervention, adding, “Iran is not seeking war, but it is fully prepared for war and open to fair negotiations.” Araghchi said security forces are pursuing those responsible and that internet access cut during the protests will be restored.
