The toll of the 7.6-magnitude earthquake that occurred a week ago in Japan’s Ishikawa prefecture is increasing. Authorities announced that the number of deaths increased to 128 and the number of injuries to 560. Search efforts continue for 195 people who have not been heard from.
The Japan Meteorological Agency announced that snowfall is expected in the area, which may affect the search efforts.
