Israel Approves Record Natural Gas Export Deal with Egypt

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israel has approved a natural gas export agreement worth about $35 billion with Egypt, the largest such deal in the country’s history. Netanyahu said the deal, signed with US energy company Chevron and its Israeli partners, will supply gas to Egypt and contribute to regional stability. The agreement was signed last August but had been delayed due to technical and regulatory issues.
