Israel launched the “Iron Swords” operation in response to the “Aqsa Flood” operation launched by Hamas’s military wing, Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, against Israeli forces in the morning. As part of the operation, Israel started to hit Hamas from the air with air operations.
Iran launched 30 ballistic missiles targeting Israeli cities including Ramat Gan, Holon, and Beersheva, injuring 65 people. Missiles struck the stock exchange in Ramat Gan and Soroka Hospital in Beersheva, where one floor had been evacuated earlier. According to Iranian media, the intended targets were IDF intelligence facilities. Israeli PM Netanyahu vowed retaliation, stating, “We will exact the full price from the tyrants in Tehran.”
