The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the killing of Hasan Farhat, a senior Hamas figure, in an overnight airstrike on the city of Sidon in western Lebanon. The IDF said Farhat was behind multiple attacks targeting Israeli civilians and troops, including a February 14 rocket attack from Lebanon that killed one Israeli soldier and wounded others.
