The Israeli army launched an airstrike on the historic city of Tyre (Sur) in southern Lebanon, where an evacuation warning was issued in the morning. Local sources said the area was hit at least five times.
Trye, located on the Mediterranean coast, is considered one of the oldest and most historically important cities in the region. The at least 4,000-year-old city is also on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
