Turkish tourists visiting Finland were mesmerized by the Northern Lights, capturing the stunning display in the Saariselkä region. Finland, known for its Arctic landscapes, has become an increasingly popular destination for Turkish travelers, with rising demand for tours and flights.
Visitors experience adrenaline-filled activities such as icebreaker ship cruises, husky sledding, and snowmobiling on frozen lakes. Some even brave the icy waters, swimming at temperatures as low as -20°C. Tour guide Gülgün Asutay noted a surge in interest, with Turkish Airlines increasing flights from Istanbul to Rovaniemi.
Traveler Mehmet Ali Kaşka described the landscape as “a land of snow that brings happiness,” while Emine Çakır called the trip “an unforgettable experience.”
