Hamdan Ballal, co-director of the Oscar-winning documentary No Other Land, was detained by Israeli forces after being attacked by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank. Settlers stormed the Palestinian village of Susya in Masafer Yatta, sparking clashes. Five American Jewish activists documenting the attack were also targeted. Ballal, injured in the assault, was taken into custody along with two Palestinians. His co-director, Yuval Abraham, reported that soldiers raided an ambulance treating Ballal and took him away, with no updates on his condition. No Other Land highlights forced evictions in the West Bank and resistance against demolitions.
