Israeli police raided Masjid al-Aqsa at night and attacked Muslims who had prayed Taraweeh in the Qibla Masjid. The Palestinians took shelter in the Qibla Masjid inside the Masjid al-Aqsa and locked the doors to prevent the Israeli police from entering. However, the Israeli police broke the windows and threw tear gas canisters to force them out. As the Palestinian group resisted by throwing fireworks, a clash broke out, and the Israeli police intervened with sound bombs, tear gas, rubber-coated bullets, and batons. The Palestinian Red Crescent reported injuries after the attack.

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova confirmed that Russia officially recognizes Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan. The statement followed backlash over Russian Vice President Vladimir Medinsky’s remarks referring to the region as “disputed.”
Zakharova clarified that Medinsky was discussing the humanitarian aspect of the conflict and urged against misinterpreting his words. Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry criticized Medinsky’s comments and reminded that Russia’s official stance recognizes Karabakh as Azerbaijani territory.
