Near the village of Avarta, Jewish settlers, protected by Israeli soldiers, stole Palestinian crops and maliciously cut down olive trees. Footage shared by the Israeli human rights organization Yesh Din reveals settlers harvesting olives, loading them into sacks, and transporting them away in their vehicles. Shockingly, some settlers were seen chopping down the trees.
Yesh Din condemned the act, stating, ‘Today, during Hanukkah, dozens of settlers seized Palestinian crops from olive trees near Avarta. Following the theft, with Israeli soldiers present, the settlers proceeded to destroy several trees.'”
