Israeli army attacks on the Syrian village of Beit Jinn have left 13 people dead, including two children, according to Syrian state television. At least 25 others were injured as helicopters and artillery fire hit the area.
Local sources said strikes on residential zones caused panic, forcing many families to flee. The Syrian Civil Defense reported that rescue teams were unable to enter the village for hours due to continued Israeli fire.
The Israeli army claimed the operation targeted the Jama’at al-Islamiya group in Beit Jinn, saying members allegedly opened fire on Israeli forces. Israel reported six soldiers injured in the clashes.
