A rocket attack was carried out in the Israeli city of Ashdod. The six rockets launched towards the city were destroyed by the Iron Dome air defense system, but a piece of one of the rockets fell onto a supermarket, penetrating the roof and causing material damage. It was stated that there were no deaths or injuries.
French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in the UK with First Lady Brigitte Macron for a three-day official visit at the invitation of King Charles III.
Welcomed by Prince William and Princess Kate at RAF Northolt, the Macrons traveled to Windsor, where they were received with full honors. A horse-drawn parade and a military band performance of the French national anthem marked the reception.
Macron later met King Charles and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle, where a luncheon and a private viewing of French-related royal artifacts were scheduled. This marks Macron’s first official UK visit since taking office in 2017.
