One of Istanbul’s landmarks, the Golden Horn, has turned brown. The bad smell began to spread along with the color change, which was concentrated primarily in the area of the islets. Citizens who came to sit or walk around the Golden Horn expressed their desire for the Golden Horn to be cleaned because the foul-smelling water bothered them. A drone was used to view the Golden Horn, which is also affected by pollution.
Stating that there are facilities to make it smell clean and good, Emine Topçu said, “We want it to be cleaner and smell better. That’s all they could do. They can do better. We need it so that we can breathe fresh air. There are opportunities, but they are not done.” she said.
