Italian MP’s Reaction Triggers Brawl in Parliament

Tension rose in the Italian parliament during the discussions on the bill that provides for more autonomy for regional governments, prepared by the right-wing coalition government led by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. After Five Star Movement (M5S) MP Leonardo Donno reacted to the bill by unfurling the Italian flag, MPs from the ruling parties attacked Donno. He was taken out of the parliament in a wheelchair, and the session was adjourned.
