The Italian government has evacuated 200 people, 140 of them Italians, from Sudan, where clashes have been taking place between the army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) since April 15. Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani contacted Sudanese authorities to ensure the safe evacuation of the Italians. The 200 people were taken from Khartoum International Airport by two C-130 type military transport aircraft of the Italian Air Force.
