A two-day strike in Izmir, impacting metro and tram services, resulted in transport difficulties and increased traffic for the city’s residents. Mayor Tunç Soyer announced on social media that the strike was over after an agreement was reached. The new agreement, negotiated with the Demiryol-İş Union, sets the lowest salary for İzmir Metro AŞ employees at 22,105 TL and the highest at 25,009 TL. It also includes an average 7% increase in other social benefits.
