Wandering on the beach in Iznik, Türkiye’s Bursa province’s world-famous historical city, which is on UNESCO’s temporary heritage list and is expected to be added to the main list this year, the family discovered a 2,000-year-old historical coin in the lake. The coins found by the Yldrm couple were given to the museum directorate of the Iznik Archeology Museum. According to museum authorities who analyzed the coins, the piece portraying Jesus Christ dates from the 9th century, while the other portrays Alexander the Great and dates back to the Hellenistic period
