Japanese entrepreneur Yusaku Maezawa launches to space

Space craft Soyuz-2.1a carrying Japanese businessman Yusaku Maezawa and his production assistant Yozo Hirano, controlled by Russian cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin has successfully launched for the mission to the International Space Station (ISS) from Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. Maezawa expressed his feelings on his twitter account saying ‘dreams come true’ ahead of the launch. “From now on, I won’t be able to use my iPhone, so the next tweet will be from space. Let’s Go” he wrote.

Maezawa previously stated that he wants to bring air from the ISS to Earth at the request of a child. Maezawa will try to achieve his goals of flying paper airplanes in space, assisting astronauts, blowing bubbles, and photographing aurora, lightning, and meteor streams.

The flight crew will return to Earth on December 20.
