Kastamonu University in Türkiye is working to establish a tourism route connecting 33 interconnected plateaus over a 58-kilometer area in the Araç district. This initiative aims to promote the region as a Highland Conservation Tourism Area, taking advantage of its natural beauty. The plateaus in Araç are known for their picturesque landscapes, making them popular among summer tourists. Kastamonu University, specializing in nature tourism, is creating hiking routes connecting these plateaus. Upon completion, the region is expected to be designated as a Highland Protection Tourism Region. The goal is to develop year-round tourism, emphasizing sustainability and cultural preservation while showcasing Kastamonu’s natural beauty.
