Kenyan police have found 15 more bodies belonging to people who were left to die in the Shakahola Forest near Malindi town by a cult that promised they would go to heaven if they died of hunger. Authorities have stated that 33 people were rescued, but 112 people are still missing.
Kenyan President William Ruto declared Paul Mackenzie Nthenge, the leader of the cult who was detained and refused to eat during his capture, a terrorist for using religion for malicious purposes. Police have detained 14 more cult members.
