North Korean leader Kim Jong-un awarded the Order of Heroism to troops who fought alongside Russian forces on the Kursk front against Ukraine. At a ceremony in Pyongyang, Kim said their “victory protects the honor of our army and guarantees the existence of our state,” calling it a milestone in the anti-imperialist struggle.
He praised the soldiers’ loyalty and resilience, saying they showed “what makes our army strong.” Kim also hosted commanders returning from Russia, expressing satisfaction with their role in the “operation to liberate the Kursk region.”
