North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un said 2026 would be a “year of great transformation,” warning that the war front of the country’s army will expand and require intensified efforts. Speaking during a visit to the Defense Ministry marking the 78th anniversary of the Korean People’s Army, Kim praised the military’s role in advancing state and party policies.
He also congratulated North Korean troops serving abroad, an apparent reference to forces deployed in support of Russia’s war in Ukraine.
