North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited aircraft manufacturing facilities in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Russia, as part of his diplomatic activities in the country. He was welcomed by local officials and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov. Kim inspected the Yuri Gagarin Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Factory, which produces advanced warplanes like the Su-35 and Su-57, and also toured the assembly area for Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SJ-100) passenger aircraft. He observed a Su-35 fighter jet’s demonstration flight. Manturov highlighted the potential for cooperation with North Korea in various sectors, including aircraft manufacturing. Kim’s visit lasted about five hours before he departed on his armored train.
