A 180-ton nephrite-like stone has been discovered in the Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan. The stone was found near the village of Chon Kyzyl Suu in the Jeti-Oguz district and was unearthed by local residents, who later held an opening ceremony at the site.
Experts said the stone resembles nephrite in appearance but is technically a lower-quality nephritoid mineral. Authorities expect the massive stone to attract tourists to the Issyk-Kul region.
