Four helicopters and ground crews are intervening in the dense forest area. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
Meanwhile, Izmir Governor Süleyman Elban announced that fires in Çeşme and Ödemiş have been largely contained. Visiting the fire zone in Çeşme, Elban said, “There are no casualties or injuries. Despite winds reaching 85 km/h and shifting directions, teams have confined the flames. We hope to bring it fully under control soon.”
