A landslide occurred in the Tsuruoka city of the Yamagata province of Japan left 10 houses under the ground. Twenty-two residents who were present at the houses avoided the incident thanks to a warning issued in advance. However, the disaster injured 2 and caused an elderly couple to go missing.
While it intermittently rains in the region, disrupting the search and rescue efforts, the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) warned that snowfall is expected in tonight.
