A landslide in Wyoming’s Teton Pass caused a road collapse, cutting off transportation between Idaho towns and the tourist area of Jackson. Engineers and geologists assessed the damage, determining the road will remain closed for an extended period. Governor Mark Gordon declared an emergency to secure additional repair funds and stated the transportation department is working on a long-term solution to rebuild the vital route.
