Latvia’s State Property Agency (VNĪ) announced a 280-kilometer metal fence that’s construction began in 2015 at the border of Latvia and Russia is completed after ten years. The metal fence is thought to be one of the largest infrastructure project to reduce security at the east border of European Union. The Project which is worth to 166 million euro.
“The promise was kept” said Latvia İnterior Minister, Rihards Kozlovskis and adding that Latvia set monitoring and surveillance equipment which are fully high-tech on the Russian border and aim is create a modern border protection system at the east border of EU.
