Hundreds of Lebanese residents are fleeing southern Lebanon due to heavy Israeli airstrikes that began in the morning. Many are heading toward Beirut and Sidon, causing significant traffic as people evacuate the region.
Lebanese Education Minister Abbas El-Halebi announced that some schools in Beirut and Mount Lebanon have been converted into shelters for the displaced. Meanwhile, Imad Kreidieh, head of telecom operator Ogero, reported over 80,000 suspicious calls from Israel urging people to evacuate.
