The Lebanese government condemned the attack on the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, saying, “Targeting civilians is a clear violation of international law and is against the principles of humanity,” and called for an immediate cessation of the months-long clashes between Hezbollah, which previously fired rockets against the area but denied this attack, and Israeli forces.
The rocket that hit a football field in the Majdal Shams area killed 12 people and injured around 30 others.
