The Lithuanian Social Democratic Party (LSDP) won the first round of the parliamentary elections with 19.36% of the vote, ahead of the ruling Fatherland Union with 17.96%. LSDP leader Vilija Blinkeviciute plans to form a coalition government after the second round on October 27, ensuring continued support for Ukraine while addressing domestic reforms. Turnout was 52.6%, with over 1,700 candidates competing for 141 seats.
