A lorry in San Juan Lagos, Mexico entered the marketplace on a street that was closed to traffic, injuring 8 citizens around. Several health teams were directed to the location. Six of the casualties were taken to a hospital and described as in good condition.
Some citizens ran after the lorry and caught the driver to be handed over to the security forces. The initial reports showed that the accident occurred as the driver lost the vehicle’s control.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed a new prisoner exchange with Russia, marking the first return of severely wounded Ukrainian soldiers held in Russian captivity. He called the operation an “important humanitarian action” and emphasized the need for continued exchanges.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, most of the released soldiers suffer from serious conditions, including limb loss and infections. The exact number of those freed will be disclosed after the process is completed.
Russia’s Defense Ministry also confirmed the exchange, stating that a second group of Russian soldiers had been returned from Ukrainian-controlled areas and are currently receiving treatment in Belarus before being transferred to Russia. The exchange follows an agreement reached in Istanbul on June 2.
