Macron votes in second round of French presidential elections

In the second round of the presidential elections held in France, current President Emmanuel Macron won the election by receiving 58.20 percent of the votes, according to unofficial results.

In France, the people went to the polls at 08:00 local time to vote in the second round of the presidential election, in which the current President Emmanuel Macron and the far-right candidate Marine Le Pen competed.

In the statement made by the Ministry of Interior, it was stated that the voter turnout rate at 17.00 local time was 63.23 percent. The aforementioned turnout rate decreased by 2 points compared to the same period in the election held in 2017.
