Heavy rains from Storm Efrain flooded metro stations in Madrid, Spain’s capital. Flooding alerts were issued in 35 provinces across the country. The Spanish State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) had warned its citizens against floods caused by monsoon rains on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The rain is expected to lose its impact over the weekend.
