Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores were transferred under heavy security to the Southern District Court of New York in Manhattan, US media reported. The pair were taken from a detention facility in Brooklyn in handcuffs, moved by armored vehicles and helicopter, and escorted by armed officers. Maduro was seen limping as he arrived at the courthouse. He is expected to appear before a judge later today on charges related to drugs and weapons.
