Maltese swimmer Neil Agius swam the 152.6-kilometer distance between Italy’s Linosa Island and his country Malta to draw attention to plastic pollution in the sea. The 35-year-old swimmer, who left Italy’s Linosa Island on Monday, completed the 52-hour swimming and reached Malta’s Gozo Island.
The official Russian news agency TASS reported that the next round of peace talks between Moscow and Kyiv is expected to be held this weekend in Istanbul. A source said the exact dates are still being finalized. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy confirmed that a new meeting has been proposed by Ukraine’s Security Council Secretary for next week.
