A 35-year-old man diagnosed with having ₺83 coin and metal parts such as nails and screws in his stomach after going to the hospital in Turkey’s Van over complaint of abdominal pain. The Doctors have performed an open surgery and removed all the foreign bodies from his stomach. The patient, who reportedly suffers from psychological problems, will be discharged soon after his recovery. The successful surgery took about 2 hours and was performed by 5 physicians including Dr. Serhat Binici, Dr. Emrah Dağtekin and Dr. Enes Şentürk.

General Surgeon Dr. Serhat Binici said, “We noticed that foreign bodies pull the patient’s stomach down. Then we took our patient to endoscopy. In the endoscopy, we saw many coins, stones and nails in the stomach of the patient. After the surgery, which took about 2 hours, we removed the foreign bodies.”

Dr. Binici said that the patient was in good condition.
