A man with a knife attacked police at Gare du Nord (North Station) in Paris, the French Transport Minister Jean-Baptiste Djebbari stated in press briefing. The attacked was shot dead by the police, and no evidence was found regarding terrorism in the incident, the minister added. Two police officers were reported to be slightly injured, and they were taken to hospital.
Gare du Nord is one of the largest train stations in Europe, where international train services between Belgium and the UK are carried out.
