Manisa Tulips Add Color to Spil Mountain National Park

The first Manisa Tulip sightings have delighted visitors at Spil Mountain National Park in Manisa’s Şehzadeler district in Türkiye. These tulips, known for their vibrant hues, have started blooming along the park’s roadsides, offering a picturesque sight for nature enthusiasts and photographers alike. Hamdi Öklü, enjoying a picnic with his family, expressed excitement at spotting the early blooms and emphasized the need to protect these precious flowers. Nurcan Öklü echoed the sentiment, inviting everyone to witness the beauty of the Manisa Tulips in full bloom.

The fine for picking protected tulips in Spil Mountain National Park rose to 387,142 Turkish liras (Approx. $12,000) this year.

Forest Fires in Western Türkiye Met with Air and Land Response

Firefighting teams continue to battle a forest fire in the Yeşilyurt Neighborhood of Muğla’s Menteşe district. Four helicopters and ground crews are intervening in the dense forest area. The cause of the fire remains unknown.

Meanwhile, Izmir Governor Süleyman Elban announced that fires in Çeşme and Ödemiş have been largely contained. Visiting the fire zone in Çeşme, Elban said, “There are no casualties or injuries. Despite winds reaching 85 km/h and shifting directions, teams have confined the flames. We hope to bring it fully under control soon.”
