Another mass grave has been discovered in the Baghdad Bridge area of Damascus, Syria, revealing more evidence of atrocities under the Assad regime. The White Helmets, also known as the Syrian Civil Defense, reported finding bodies believed to be civilians killed during the conflict.
Khalid Salih El Hamit, a local farmer, uncovered several bodies while searching for his missing brothers. “I found bodies in three bags, including a woman and a man. There are many more, but I couldn’t reach them. This place needs to be dug up and examined,” he said.
Search teams suspect thousands of bodies may still be buried in the area, as investigations into mass graves continue across Syria.
